Village Needlepoint of Irvington is a canvas and thread boutique located in the Village of Irvington, Virginia on the Rappahannock River and Chesapeake Bay. We are also located three blocks from the lovely Tides Inn Resort, a five star, award winning hotel; a true gem of the Northern Neck and all of Virginia.

Village Needlepoint opened in the spring of 2001 and has provided a wonderful experience for all the staff. We have met many wonderful people, not only locally, but from all over the country as well as abroad and have created a friendly, helpful and very service-oriented shopping delight. With over 40+ years of needlepoint experience within our staff, we are also able to offer personal services such as completion of already-started canvases, total completion of a canvas chosen by the customer, as well as repair and/or correction of needlework already accomplished by the customer. We also offer group and individual lessons for beginners as well as veteran needleworkers hoping to learn new stitches.

Besides our top of the line customer service, a wide variety of available canvases and gorgeous threads, our shop also specializes in hand painted, custom designed canvases painted for you only. We have painted beloved horses, dogs and cats for owners and their families. We have designed “this is your life” belts, special pillows, shoes, Christmas stockings and much, much more.

Our finishing business is exceptional. We are extremely proud and fortunate to offer the services of highly qualified finishers located across the United States, as well as locally. Pillows, Christmas stockings, ornaments, belts, shoes, kneelers and rugs are just a few examples of what we can finish after you have completed your project. We have had the challenge of repairing many antique needlepoint pieces and have met with much success.
